I need to address this animal. Snakes.

My son is currently obsessed with snakes. Me personally, I don’t want one in my house. I lived with a room mate out of high school that had a 10′ python and quite frankly it scared the begeebies out of me. BUT he is very much seeing the good and pure side of them.

SO, he has been asking me & my husband daily for a pet snake and of course we are continuously saying no. But I didn’t want to see that crushed look on my sons face so I took him to a local exotic pet store so he could learn more about snakes and get to interact with them.

While we were there he was holding this corn snake and it truly seemed to have a connection with him. It was wrapped around his hand and arm and they were walking around the store together. I decided to get closer to see my son with this slithering animal in his hands… and I swear it looked like the snake was smiling!

I looked into this animals eyes and for the first time I didn’t feel frightened. I saw this animals spirit and felt the energy connection between this snake and my son.

Now I know what you’re thinking…. did I buy this snake for my son?   Sadly the answer is No.  My son has had fish and a frog in the past and he takes care of feeding them but he never cleaned their tanks or cages (my husband and I did) and I will not be able to change a snakes cage (no matter what I see in this animals spirit).  PLUS we have other animals in this house that would love to make this small snake its snack and I know my son would be devastated.

SO for now my son is still snakeless (we will see if this changes by Christmas & IF that snake is still available… shhhhh don’t tell my son).

Who would have thought that I would EVER have seen anything good and pure in a snake, but thanks to my amazing son & his spirit I have changed. I now know that there is more to them then I gave them credit for. They too have spirits, they too have feelings.

Huh, I wonder what I will learn tomorrow 🙂
